Wreck Beach is a 2 km return walk in Tomaree National Park, Port Stephens, north of Sydney. The Grade 4 walk from Verona Road in Shoal Bay winds through angophora forest and takes 30 minutes to an hour. The beach itself is unpatrolled, with strong waves that make it best for experienced swimmers. The beach is renowned for whale watching and summer dolphin sightings; for easier swimming, Box Beach nearby has better facilities.
