Crystal clear water at the start of April! You can see the sandy bottom perfectly. There’s a lifeguard tent nearby, so it feels very safe. There is a cute little cafe right by the beach where you can grab some ice cream. For facilities, they have two indoor shower rooms and an outdoor shower area as well

That is the lovely space. I was here with some friends and it was a wonderful experience with the sand, sea, sky and rocks. The cool breeze after a long summer day chased away my fatigue. I really enjoyed it and had a picnic here with the fresh air and took some beautiful pictures. To be honest, this is a great place to live, located a bit far from the noisy city. Come and experience the scenery with all the nature around you. Drinking coffee while strolling along the beach is also a great idea, especially during a summer sunset, to connect with nature and chat with the locals.

Surely a place to beat the heat and enjoy the cool breeze from a distance or just enjoy the sand and water. I took a walk towards the black rocks and Gloucester Reserve. The wind was a natural air-conditioner amidst the summer heat and the scenery is a bonus. I bet it's a respite for the locals. I wish I had my bathers to enjoy the beach too. There are toilets and shower areas designated around the beach. The pubs and cafes are at your service for a drink and bites.

This is my favorite beach on that side of the bay. It’s pretty busy with lots of action but worthwhile to go and have a swim or walk on the water. I walked on the rocks all the way to the end. The waves aren’t that huge so it’s not too dangerous.

Best beach in Melbourne for open water swimming. The Melbourne Open Water Swimming Club is based at Williamstown Beach. Meet the club for a swim on Saturday mornings at the far west end of the beach near the carpark behind WSLSC. 8am is the swim class and 9am is the swim group.
