Valley Campground sits in the Huon Valley on the Crabtree Rivulet, just 25 minutes south of Hobart. Campsites are private alcoves bordered by native shrubs, suited to self-contained motorhomes with powered options as well as unpowered tent sites. Tasmanian wildlife abounds including platypus in the river, resident echidnas, quolls, bandicoots, wallabies, and padymelons. Wedge-tailed eagles, goshawks, sulphur-crested black cockatoos, and numerous songbirds frequent the surrounding forest. Bookings are essential at $20 per person per night, with powered sites an extra $10 per van.
