Attended a wedding and stayed overnight. Nice spacious room and generally service was good. 1 staff member seemed to struggle with the stress of a wedding crowd but otherwise they were good. The garden area for the wedding across the street was a challenging walk for the ladies or elderly if not driven across. Limited parking on that side and its a fair walk from Trawool estate main building to the staged area for the ceremony. Ladies in heels had to walk along an unpaved path. The staged area itself is setup well and provides a lovely backdrop for ceremonys.

A group of us came for lunch and we were so disappointed in our meals. They took a while to come out (even though they were quiet) and the chicken Kievs were overcooked, the seafood linguine has an acidic smell indicating that the seafood was off and was sent back, the pork was also overcooked. It was a long drive that left us so dissatisfied. The staff and location was lovely but unfortunately the food was not. We left after receiving the food without eating much of it.

I was attracted by the beautiful building, so we booked two nights for a weekend getaway. The building itself is stunning, and the surroundings are very nice. The room size was okay, and the overall condition was average. One issue was the hot water in the bathroom. It went cold for a minute or two during the shower, then came back. The Wild Water restaurant is lovely, with large glass windows that let you enjoy the views while dining, which was a real highlight. The food was okay and quite normal. The waitress was friendly, which we appreciated. When we arrived, the room was not ready yet. The outdoor chairs and table were still inside the room, and a staff member then came to set up the minibar. We also noticed some dead flies and bugs on the floor and bed, so we were not completely sure how well it had been cleaned. However, we did check in about half an hour early, so we did not mind too much. The pool area was okay, but fairly standard. Overall, the hotel is alright, but the experience would be much better with a warm and welcoming check-in and check-out, as we did not feel welcomed by the reception staff. I would rate our stay 6 out of 10.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Trawool Estate — if you’re heading towards Seymour, you genuinely can’t miss this beautiful property. The location is perfect, the grounds are stunning, and everything felt calm, welcoming, and really well cared for. The staff were fantastic throughout our visit — friendly, attentive, and professional — and the property itself is immaculately maintained. A special touch we loved was the Dindi Natural products, which made the stay feel even more thoughtful and luxurious. A huge thank you to Wes and his team for making our stay so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend Trawool Estate to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

Attended Christmas lunch with family. In short it was fantastic. Service was great, attentive but not over powering. Food was fantastic and plentiful for a fixed price seating: not even the teenage boys went away hungry. The ‘resort’ itself looked very nice, though we didn’t stay there. I will definitely be comming back to spend more time there I’m sure.
