About Townsville Town Common Conservation Park
Located 6 kilometres north of Townsville's city centre, the Town Common offers a remarkable escape with secluded beaches framed by rocky headlands, coastal woodlands and seasonal wetlands. Walking and mountain biking trails range from short easy walks to cross-country rides, including routes to Shelly Beach, Smedley's trail and views across the Many Peaks Range. A birdwatcher's paradise with up to 280 species recorded and observation hides throughout the park. Open 6:30am to 6:30pm daily.
