We booked a campsite just to pitch a tent for $60 after spending the day by the beach, we simply could not believe the convenient location. However, we quickly realised once it got dark that we were put under the brightest light I have ever seen that lit up the tent like it was daytime. There were also three other adjacent lights not helping. As caravan parks are, there was a bit of music around but one source was very persistent and that is the pubs opposite. These establishments hosts extremely loud music until 1am and then streams of very loud drunk people (mostly teenagers) come back to the park throwing up, running around and yelling. On this occasion it attracted the attention of the police who also shined every light they could find around the park and drove multiple vehicles through the park from 1am-2am really adding to the atmosphere. Do not come here. If you would enjoy a night like ours though, it’s 5 stars.

Nice camping, lots of sites and some choice of site (out of season). Good management and close to shops, surf beach etc. would probably be a madhouse over holidays as there is a huge amount of accomodation (caravans, huts, glamping tents, pods, etc) and it’s all very close together. The ablution blocks are quite large and have been revamped, plenty hot water (out of season at least) though I think they need to install seats inside the men’s shower cubicles rather than in open areas.

Location is good but the cabins are run down. Marks all over every door and inside toilet seats. Fan in bathroom so loud. Only one car per room on site even though theres plenty of room Cobwebs in the cabins. No plug for the sink. Yeah...its alot of simple stuff but not worth the price Location is this only thing this place has

I stayed in a glamping pod over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The pods are very nice, comfortable bed and have a microwave, kettle and mini fridge for snacks and meals. The amenities are only a minute walk away and are clean and require a code to access, making them feel very safe. The surf beach is quite literally a minutes walk away, with the front beach being around 10 minute walk. I came without a car and still found Torquay and the caravan park to be very walkable, even though I found myself getting lost quite a lot in the caravan park. I’m sure my next stay I’ll be more familiar. They do require you to clean the dishes you use and take your trash out, which I can understand but it did make me wonder if they are sanitised for the next guests. Also a critique that I can’t exactly blame the park for-around the tents and glamping pods it smells terribly of urine. I think guests in the past have just simply gone next to their accomodation instead of just walking less than a minute to the toilet. Maybe to help deter this in the future you could add something to the information book in the rooms(if there isn’t already)

The location is good with the beach accessible from the park and a good pub across the road but we were given a site for the caravan in the area where the permanent campers are and there are no sullage pits, no grass not even one blade. The sites are big enough but lots of trees to manoeuvre around and dusty dirt sites. The amenities are fine with hot water but I expected a bit better than this in Torquay. I have stayed in far better caravan parks in small country towns. We will not be returning to this park.
