You should definitely visit whilst in Albany. 17 dollar a day to park, but you should only need half an hour, think the ticket is for other parking areas too, so you can stop and start over the day.

The Gap in Torndirrup National Park was absolutely impressive and well worth the visit. You can view the dramatic cliffs and crashing waves safely from a sturdy platform, which makes the experience even more striking. There are restrooms available on site, and you do need a park pass, which can be conveniently purchased at the location.

This national park is just a few minutes from Albany, and because of its easy access, it gets lots of visitors, and with good reason! Both The Gap, with its jaw-dropping overhanging viewpoint, and Natural Bridge are awe-inspiring parts of the coastal landscape, and both are also within very short walks on sealed paths from the parking lot. These are a must-visit if you are on the southern coast!

A regular go to for family and friends visiting us. Never gets old. Fantastic natural attractions. We did the Bald Head walk recently. Always check out the gap, natural bridge and Jimmy Newell's.

Torndirrup is a 3900-hectare national park made up of the peninsula area just to the south of Albany in WA. Entry is AUD$17 per standard vehicle. The NP includes wild and rugged coastline, beaches and quite a few nice viewpoints that are accessible by way of the Frenchman Bay Road. We spent an entire morning making way to the various viewpoints, some of which have short walks, all of which seem to present lovely scenery. Misery Beach in particular is a beautiful beach and the popular Natural Bridge & Gap seascape land formations are quite remarkable, worth the trip out from Albany to see on their own, even if you don't make other stops. Hikers will find the popular Bald Head Track along with other coastal walks. There is also a historic Whaling Station and museum and the Australia Wildlife Park Albany that can be enjoyed visiting while in Torndirrup, a convenient outdoor location for anyone staying in Albany or Denmark.
