(3.5 stars) In contrast to the relative quiet of Wattamolla Beach, the nearby lagoon of the same name, complete with waterfalls, is hectic! It’s gorgeous… so gorgeous that everyone from extended families to groups of teens take up residence on its central sandbar, creating a village of Cool Cabanas and beach umbrellas. The star attractions, apart from the calm green waters of the lagoon, are the cliffs overlooking it, that provide a stage of various heights for people to jump in from. It’s like a non-stop floor show, both entertaining and sometimes funny, with a hint of danger thrown in. The signs advising NO DIVING FROM THE CLIFFS were utterly ineffective. We brought some new inflatables with us, which the lagoon is perfect for, and lying in them watching the young and the young-at-heart hurl themselves from great heights into the water below kept us amused for quite a while. Points for style and size of splash were awarded between us. There’s picnic areas and BBQs nearby, toilets and change rooms, but sadly no showers. It was a bit busy for us, but we got why people came and loved it so much, as it is so darned beautiful.

The google map will take you through to the car park. There is enough parking for like 50 plus cars. We had no problem finding a car. You will go through a check point where you will pay to visit the national park. This fee is for a whole day so make use of it. There are toilet facilities available. Once you reach the car park just go to the left when going towards the toilets. I think during rainy season, there may be more water. I saw people playing with the sand and fishing at the opposite end of the falls. You can spend about good 30 minutes here. We later took a hike towards the eagle rocks and another waterfall along the coast. We enjoyed this place. There is no toilets along the bay except beside the car park.

Located in the Royal National Park, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a truly amazing place. There is beautiful scenery everywhere you look with fantastic walking tracks that lead you to stunning lookouts (Providential Point) . Today we were lucky to see some whales 🐋 breaching. I even saw an echidna on the walking path. The is plenty of tables and chairs for people to enjoy a picnic along with great BBQ facilities. There’s also plenty of green grass to sit on if you prefer. The waterfalls are really beautiful and I would definitely recommend taking the walk down to the beach. 🏖️. The path down there is pretty easy but there’s steps so it’s not wheelchair accessible. This also goes for the walk to the lookout. It is quite uneven in some spots so is difficult for people with mobility issues. The river is really lovely and you can walk out onto the rocks underneath one of the falls. Makes for great photo opportunities. I definitely took advantage of that. The only issue I was made aware of the toilet 🚻 facilities are up some stairs so if you’re in a wheelchair you have to take a longer walk through the car park 🅿️ which is quite large. This wasn’t designed well. But the toilet facilities themselves are good and there’s plenty of parking. The lookout over the beach offers an amazing view which allows you to look at the waterfalls from above and then you can see them from ground level when you walk down to the beach. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit here. It’s so beautiful peaceful. Saying that, we came on a weekday in September. I was told it gets very crowded on the weekends, especially during the summer months. A BIG Thumbs up 👍👍👍👍

We have been here twice and kids will love this place. Shallow waters for kids to play and if you visit after rain, you will see ample water in falls for adults to paddle and kayak. We tried kayak for the first time here and loved the experience. We reached prettty early in the morning to avoid crowd. Has ample car park. Both walkers and people visiting beach should share the parking. Has toilets and picnic tables as well.
