About The Horn

The Horn is Victoria's highest viewpoint in Mount Buffalo National Park at 1,723 metres, perched on granite cliffs on the western side of the Australian Alps. The 800-metre walk (45 minutes return) offers 360-degree views including Mount Hotham, Mount Feathertop, and Mount Buller on clear days. The trail features rocky terrain with some scrambling sections, though steps and hand-rails assist at steep points. The landscape is dotted with twisted snow gums bleached by past bushfires. The lookout is easily accessible from the alpine town of Bright and is perfect for sunrise and sunset viewing.
