Chose this park over Big4 as the reviews were better. Sites and amenities were fine. Short walk to the river. Great shower pressure with no time limit. Standout was the super helpful staff who assisted us with our numerous requests even though they were busy running errands around the park.

Strahan Beach Tourist Park is a large, well-located park with plenty of facilities and an important part of the local community. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and it’s still a good park worth supporting. There are a few areas where some improvements would make a big difference. The potholes throughout the park could be repaired, and better drainage would help prevent muddy grassed areas after rain. The men’s amenities could also use some maintenance, particularly the ceiling which has peeling paint and signs of mould. A mow in some areas would also lift the overall presentation. With a bit of attention to these issues, this park has the potential to be one of the best in the area.

BOGGY AND UNDERSIZED SITES We booked an unpowered site for our self-contained caravan and were allocated site 11. When we arrived at our site we quickly realised that the site was drastically undersized in width and showed evidence of the previous users getting bogged. When we walked on the ground, water squelched through and mud oozed. We went to reception to see what they could do but they were closed for lunch. Long story short... this caravan park needs major drainage upgrades and the size of some of the sites are not suitable for a car and caravan. Given the price we payed we were not very impressed with what was provided. The amenities were good, however there was only one working washing machine. I would not recommend this caravan park.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin for 4 nights, they were good enough to give us another cabin as there was some issues with the original cabin. They need a new lounge, it was not comfortable at all. Wifi non exitent in cabin. Everything else was great. Location is close to everything, easy walking distance to all attractions.

We stayed on a powered site for two days and were really impressed. The park is very clean, the amenities are well maintained, and the staff were extremely helpful. The location is close to everything, making it very convenient. We would happily recommend this park to anyone travelling.
