South Bruny National Park is a 50.59 km² coastal park on Bruny Island, about 50 km south of Hobart, Tasmania. It was established in 1997 and is managed by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service. The park'''s southern edge features sea cliffs topped by rainforest, crowned by Cape Bruny Lighthouse standing 114 metres above the Southern Ocean. The park is home to all 12 of Tasmania'''s endemic birds, including the endangered forty-spotted pardalote. Whales migrate through the waters, and blue penguins inhabit the area. The Fluted Cape walk is a 4 km route rated as one of Tasmania'''s 60 Great Short Walks. The Labillardiere Peninsula loop is an 18 km walk taking 5.5 to 6.5 hours. Ruins of 19th-century whaling stations sit at Cloudy Bay and Grass Point. A valid park pass is required for entry.
