Shepherd's Lookout in Canberra's northern reaches sits on the ACT's viewing point of the Murrumbidgee River in Woodstock Nature Reserve, where power lines mark the NSW border. For 7,000 years, this river stretch has provided water, fish, yabbies, and waterbirds to the Ngunnawal people with ongoing platypus habitat.
