If the only two things important to you is location and cleanliness, then this place is for you. We paid a premium price for a poorly maintained Park. Laundry facilities were closed and no information when they would be repaired. An old looking note just pointed you to intown and others commented it had been closed for some time. Men's shower facilities were not well maintained. A real let down based on other NRMA parks. In the end we moved to the Windang caravan park, cheaper and very well maintained.

I stayed here for around a month, the location is superb. The camp facilities are well kept especially the BBQs which was greatly appreciated. Cabins are clean and AC was excellent (something that is missing in many other parks). Above all the hosts (Julia and Ryan) and other reception staff were extra accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful stay. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area!

We are now tourists in my childhood to adult yrs home. The caravan park has evolved lots in that time. Improvements are ongoing. The views, proximity walking distance to Pool and Village eateries, pub are great. Some sites are tight to park up but if you give correct length etc they will be ample. Very dog friendly and prices now (off peak) $41 night avg over 10 days so very affordable with p/w. Good amenities. All round good park to while away a week or so. Lots to do in area. Will always stay here when visiting our old stomping ground

For absolute beach front stunning sites, probably the best we've stayed at. Spectacular views and couldn't get any closer to the beach and rock pools. Some small criticisms, nothing major, just little things. The park is very busy, always. Understandable, but if a lot of other vans isn't your thing, take note. The kerbs on the beach front sites are huge, so, if you use any sort of mobility aid, be warned. A defined path through the middle sites to the beach and amenities would be a good idea, otherwise you are either walking through someone's site or it's a bit of a walk via the road, not a problem for an able bodied walker, it's not that far, but once again, for someone using a mobility aid, the navigation can be tricky. Amenities were good, very well appointed and clean, but doors into the disabled facilities are very tight for a wheelchair. Internal facilities in the disabled bathroom spacious and reasonably easy to navigate. I could only see a LH disabled facility, made it a little more difficult for a RH side affected person but nothing insurmountable. Just little observations, honestly no complaint, but might help other more disabled people to navigate. Overall a great location, shops, cafes, restaurants right on the doorstep, or just a short drive to a major shopping centre or the marina development. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Shellharbour NRMA for a few nights in our caravan. The location itself is great and we really enjoyed having beach access, but overall the park didn’t quite meet our expectations. When we arrived it was fairly quiet, but it became very busy over the weekend. The park is currently undergoing renovations and adding new sites, though some of the layouts looked quite tight with poles and close proximity to other vans β€” I’m not sure how easy it will be for larger setups to manoeuvre once it’s finished. There wasn’t a lot for kids within the park, which wasn’t ideal, but it did encourage us to explore the surrounding area, which turned out to be a highlight. We loved being close to the beach, but our site became a bit of a thoroughfare for kids walking directly through to the sand. A designated walkway or clearer access point would really help improve privacy for those staying on the beachfront. The main downside for us was the amenities. Unfortunately, the bathrooms didn’t appear to be cleaned during our stay, leaving toilet paper, sand, and water scattered around. This was disappointing compared to other parks we’ve stayed at. Overall, the location is beautiful, and with some improvements to the amenities and general upkeep, the park could become a much better experience for guests. We enjoyed the beach access, but we’d hope to see a few upgrades before considering a future stay.
