Semaphore is a family-friendly beach 14km from Adelaide, featuring two kilometres of white-sand foreshore with shallow swimming waters and a historic vintage carousel (operating since 1928). The beachside village has cafes, cycle paths, the working Timeball Tower, and regular dolphin and seal sightings from the jetty.

A very nice promenade where you can take a peaceful stroll. The walkway is very pretty, and from the end you can see the sea and the seagulls flying. The sand is very fine and very soft at the touch. There is also a playground nearby, so it is also recommended for families with small children. Wonderful place.

Another beautiful Adelaide beach. This one has a kids amusement Park. Don't miss the Time Ball Tower ..its not a light house! The jetty is awesome for views. Good places to eat around too. The lack of a bus to the nearest station and relying entirely on a infrequent bus to the city is the only downside to this beach

This beach is very friendly with fairly good facilities. Toilets at two sides of the jetty. Parking is crowded but not too bad. Easy to access to the south west Adelaide. Beach may have too much algae.

Semaphore Beach is a beautiful, familyβfriendly stretch of coastline with calm water, soft sand, and plenty of space to unwind. The long jetty is the standout feature, and itβs also the best place to find shade on hot days β highly recommended if youβre visiting in summer. Easy parking, relaxed vibes, and a great spot for a slow stroll or a beach day without the crowds.
