Rocky Creek Glacial Area preserves evidence of ancient glaciation dating back over 300 million years. Located on Killarney Gap Road between Narrabri and Bingara (about 38km southwest of Bingara), the area features conglomerate boulders, crystal-clear rock pools, and sandy beaches carved by long-vanished ice sheets during the Pleistocene Epoch. The site is ideal for exploring, bush-walking, swimming in the natural pools, and camping. Basic facilities include toilets and some shaded spots, making it a rewarding destination for geology enthusiasts and swimmers.
