Rocky Cape National Park is Tasmania's smallest national park, covering 30.64 square kilometres along the north west coast between Stanley and Wynyard, approximately 365 kilometres from Hobart. The park stretches 12 kilometres along the Bass Strait shoreline, featuring striking rock formations, flowering plants, and wild ocean vistas. The site holds significant Aboriginal heritage, with sea caves containing middens that document 8,000 years of Aboriginal occupation and showcase the important role of seafood in traditional diet. The park is primarily day-use and offers walks ranging from under 20 minutes to full-day adventures, with swimming, fishing, boating, and bushwalking as popular activities.
