About Red Rock Campground - Byfield SF
Red Rock Camping Area sits 1km along the Byfield Road turnoff near the Byfield Forestry office, featuring an open grassy area surrounded by pine forest plantation. Ten vehicle sites and five walk-in tent sites accommodate trailers, caravans and small motorhomes. Open fireplaces or wood BBQs, picnic tables and shared facilities are provided near the car park and toilets. This is the only pet-friendly campground in the forest. Water must be treated before drinking; a nearby creek is saltwater crocodile habitat, so swimming is unsafe. Book well in advance, especially during school holidays.
