Cannon Hill Lookout is a scenic reserve in Warrnambool offering panoramic views over Lake Pertobe, Lady Bay and the Southern Ocean from its position on Merri Street. The site retains original cannons from the 1800s when it was part of Australia's coastal defence system built in response to fears of Russian invasion. Located near the Warrnambool Visitor Centre and Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum, the reserve provides coin-operated barbecues and opportunities for leisurely coastal walks.
