π Kalbarri, WA
Small sheltered cove at Kalbarri, WA, accessed via a 200-metre return walking track through a mini-gorge flanked by red cliff faces. Named after cray pots washing ashore from broken moorings, the beach sits hemmed by rock shelves and offers fishing for baldchin groper, jewfish, pink snapper, and tailor. The clifftop carpark provides safe parking with scenic views down to the enclosed inlet.

This is the pick of all the beaches in this area. It's a little sheltered, so the wind is not as bad, but this does mean the flies are extra bad at certain times of year. They were extreme in May. The swell comes and goes you could have a few minutes of pure calm and then get swept out to sea by a dozen large waves in a row. So be careful. We were there in th middle of the day and had the whole beach to ourselves for over an hour.

Beautiful spot to explore. Walk down the path from the car park to the beach - this is steep in places . This was definitely one of my favourite spots in Kalbarri

One of our favourite spots for the sunset in all of Kalbarri. We staying in town for about 2 weeks, drove out here a few times and each afternoon was as beautiful as the last.

A great place to be away from crowds but not a very good place for families with small children to swim at. A bit of a climb down and up. Recommend to take a cabana or beach umbrellas as there aren't any shady areas on the beach or don't carry anything as it's a bit of trouble carting it up and down

The best location among all of the coastal cliff. Head down to the hidden beach and watch the sunset from here. The waves are mesmerizing crashing into the cove. There is small natural bridge under which water rushes in, which is a sight in itself. The landscape is beautiful beyond description
