We stayed at The Port Elliot Caravan Park over the weekend in a 3 bedroom cabin. It was very spacious the beds were comfortable. All the staff were very friendly from checking in at reception to the grounds staff, who my teenage boys had some great banter with. The gardens were lush and green and we enjoyed our time out at the BBQ area near the cabin itβs was a great little hidden gem. A short walk to beaches with stunning views, generous size jumping pillow and basketball ring kept the kids entertained.

Lovely location. Lady at check-in is very friendly and so is the dog. We stayed in cabin 1 and it was very clean and tidy. Cabin had everything we expected. We walked down to Sandy bay twice and saw dolphin, seals and rays. Short drive to a nice chicken/seafood store. Would love to stay here again.

This is a fabulous holiday park! My wife and I recently spent two weeks on a beachfront powered site which was excellent. The sites are large enough to accommodate caravans of all shapes and sizes and almost all sites in the park have a large synthetic mat in place. The two amenities blocks are clean and well-maintained and the camp kitchen is well equipped. Town is just a 10 minute walk from the park and has all the conveniences you would expect in a seaside town. In the immediate area of the park there are several beautiful walks with stunning views and it also provides a great base for exploring the many attractions on the Fleurieu Peninsula. We will definitely be returning to the Big4 Port Elliot Holiday Park.

Extremely Disappointing β False Advertising We drove 8 hours to stay at BIG4 Port Elliot Caravan Park and were dumped on the worst site in the entire park. This site was advertised as a maintained grass site, which is completely false. It was nothing of the sort. The site was overrun by oversized trees, constantly dropping leaves, bark and debris. We were sleeping in swags under massive exposed tree roots, which is not only uncomfortable but unsafe. To make matters worse, there were two huge dead branches hanging above the site, posing a serious risk the entire stay. We paid over $1000 for a 10-day stay, and it was nothing but disappointment and frustration. Management showed zero concern or willingness to rectify the issue, despite the clear safety hazards and misleading advertising. What makes this even more frustrating is that the rest of the park is well maintained. This particular site should either be priced much lower or honestly advertised as a bush camp, not a standard powered grass site. Honestly, free camping is better than this rubbish. A real shame, because this park could be great if they were honest and took responsibility for sub-standard sites.

Great location in central town and beach area. 250 sites in the space feels very much like sardines and not a beachfront holiday experience. Itβs a pity there is no other option in Port Elliot. Also a shame to see so much year-on-year dominance of sites. A ballot system may allow others to share in preferential sites.
