About Porcupine Gorge National Park

Porcupine Gorge National Park sits 60 kilometres north of Hughenden in north-west Queensland, featuring towering sandstone cliffs carved by Porcupine Creek into an impressive canyon. The Pyramid Camping Area provides the only on-park camping with 22 numbered unpowered sites in savanna woodlands, accessible via sealed road from the Kennedy Highway. The gorge lookout is an easy 200-metre walk from the car park to a viewing platform showcasing multi-coloured sandstone formations.
