Very basic accomodation but it was priced very reasonably. Room was clean, great location and setting, nice pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

The mould in the rooms is an actual health hazard. Not just a bit of a smell, it’s overpowering and the first thing you notice when you walk in. We booked a room here and left straight away due to the mould smell and unsanitary conditions. We were offered a room upgrade which we declined after inspecting and the nicer room had the same problem. We stayed elsewhere nearby in Cape Tribulation and there was no mould smell at all. A health inspector would have a field day at this place.

This place was very dirty, you could tell they have not cleaned in a LONG time. Decaying lizard, dirty toilets, tons of spiderwebs in all the showers, flooded floor. In the kitchen everything just dirty and clearly untouched, to the point mold started collecting on the unwashed dishes. The worst money I’ve ever spent. I did complain and they took away the dead lizard, but the rest remained disgusting.

This hotel is in a great location. Not many places are around. There is a cute cafe/bar just across the bar and a small grocery store just next door however it has not got much stock but what it has it’s enough. The hotel itself has a great bar/restaurant area where you can chill. Myall beach is pretty and it is just a short walk away.

I have never stayed in a place as terrible as this. It was a complete nightmare from start to finish. The entire property feels abandoned and is incredibly dirty. The hygiene standards are non existent: I found bed bugs in my room, along with spiders and swarms of mosquitoes. It was impossible to feel comfortable or safe. The shared kitchen was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. To make matters worse, the staff are the most unpleasant, rude, and disinterested people I have ever encountered. They clearly don't care about their guests or the state of the hostel. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and your health stay anywhere else in Cape Tribulation but here.
