If you are on your way to Kalbarri, you have to stop off to view this natural wonder. It's cotton-candy color comes from Dunaliella salina, a carotenoid-producing microalgae rich in beta-carotene. The best time to visit is10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, when the high sun makes the pink colour pop! There is so. E parking three, but during busy times you might have to park on the road. There are no toilet facilities there and no wheelchair access although there is some road further down which is quite close to the lagoon.

An absolute must-see on the drive to or from Kalbarri 🙂. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that this pink lake is actually, truly pink 😲. It's fascinating to know this giant, bubble-gum collation is a natural producer of the beta-carotene used in vitamins and food colouring. Tip: The colour really pops mid morning or at sunset, when the light hits it perfectly. There is a special lookout on the road into Port Gregory which has the best vantage point for photos 📸.

May not be as pink as what you see online. But still is pink enuf for us to feel excited. A good stop over to rest on our journey from Geraldton to Kalbarri P/S: We drive there on another day around 12pm and its nicer. However the nicest view is not from the lookout point. But along the road while driving to this place. Its really bright pink if we see it from far.... the bright pink color is real 😍

We visited the Pink Lake last month. Winter isn't the best time to visit as it's the dry season and the water level is quite low. Even so, the morning sunlight made the colours really pop, and the lake was still impressively pink. Definitely worth a visit.
