The caravan park has good facilities, the staff are friendly and very helpful, and the location is excellent. The only issue is some of the people staying here. They can be very loud and do not follow the curfew. It also makes me wonder where the security staff are when this happens.

We arrived at night to camp and enjoy the day. The security guard at the gate was extremely kind and welcoming (even though thatβs not his actual job β which already says a lot about who is really fit to deal with guests). The next day, after lunch, we went to pay for our stay and were met by Suzan at reception. She made the whole experience unnecessarily unpleasant, lecturing us that payment should have been done in the morning β with a tone and attitude that felt more like disdain than customer service. She even seemed to take issue with my accent (I am Brazilian and speak English). If this is how guests are treated in a tourist location, as if weβre inconveniencing the staff, perhaps it would be best to clearly display check-in and check-out rules on the website β or better yet, offer online booking. That way, travelers who naturally arrive late on the road wonβt be met with rudeness, and staff who donβt know how to deal with people can stay away from customers. The location itself is beautiful β the facilities are well maintained, with hot water and showers available. However, based on my experience (and looking at other reviews), the recurring issue seems to be the staff. And that can become a serious problem, especially considering this is a private campground where customer service should match the quality of the place.

Peaceful Riverside Escape at Patonga Camping Ground I recently stayed at Patonga Camping Ground and had a fantastic experience. The location is absolutely stunning β right on the river with easy access to the beach, making it perfect for kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing by the water. The campsite itself is well-maintained, with clean amenities including toilets, showers, and BBQ areas. Sites are spacious, and there's a mix of powered and unpowered spots depending on your needs. The vibe is peaceful and family-friendly, which made for a relaxing stay. It's also within walking distance to the Patonga Hotel, where you can enjoy a good view. The nearby walking trails through Brisbane Water National Park are a bonus if youβre up for some light hiking and amazing coastal views. Highly recommend it for a weekend escape or a longer stay if you want to unwind surrounded by nature. Book ahead, as it can get busy during peak times!

We had an incredible time at Patonga Camping Site and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature. First and foremost, the facilities were outstandingβthe toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made the stay very comfortable. Whether youβre in a caravan or a tent (like we were), you have the option of powered or unpowered sites, and water connections are conveniently located next to your setup. The swimming area was a fantastic addition, perfect for cooling off and enjoying the natural beauty of the location. The views from the site were stunning, offering a peaceful and picturesque backdrop throughout our stay. Another highlight was the Boat House Cafe, just a short walk from the camping site. The food quality was excellent, and it added a nice touch to our trip to have such a lovely dining option nearby. The site is also incredibly well-equipped. Bins are provided everywhere, making it easy to keep the area clean, and the electric BBQs were a great convenience for preparing meals outdoors. It also has two tennis courts! Overall, Patonga Camping Site is beautifully maintained, well-organized, and offers everything you need for a wonderful camping experience. We canβt wait to visit again!

Beautiful location, lake is nice at low tide because there is a small sand bay in the middle. It is also a great place to kayak. Mens restroom did smell funky, but shower pressure was good. Canteen prices are reasonable and park is mediocre. Roads are perfect for biking around the area. Walking distance from the park to the shops.
