We absolutely loved our stay at Shephard’s Beach Resort! The location truly can’t be beat. We walked everywhere—the Clearwater Beach Pier, adorable gift shops, ice cream parlors, the marina, and even grabbed our morning coffee each day at Bad Ass Coffee just down the street. The resort itself is beautiful. The pool area overlooks the Gulf, and we spent hours relaxing while watching boats go by. If you’re looking for adventure, they offer paddleboard, kayak, and jet ski rentals right on-site. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the water, and waking up to that view every morning was incredible. Evenings were just as memorable with live music, a fun crowd, and some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve ever seen. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a girls’ trip, or a fun weekend with friends, Shephard’s has the perfect mix of relaxation, entertainment, and an unbeatable waterfront location.

I stayed here for a Bachelorette trip and it was the perfect party spot! The outdoor bar with live music is amazing and the Cove restaurant on the resort was delicious and reasonably priced. The rooms were large and clean, but a little dated and did not have full length mirrors which was surprising. The drinks were good and cheap which is the best on vacation! The pool area and beach areas were a bit small but the beach has tons of activities such as jet skiing and kayaking! The thing about this location is that it is a bit of a walk to the busier area of the strip where Pier 60 and some of the restaurants are. The sunsets are pretty from the resort but nothing compared to if you’re closer to Pier 60. Lastly, I want to shout out the staff specifically Kai and Roy at the front desk! I had a mishap where I lost my ID at the pool and was freaking out. They were so helpful, asking other staff in the area if they found it and someone turned it in within an hour! They were so kind, professional and helpful in more ways than one! Everyone we met was friendly and helpful which made our stay even better!

Service is a little slow but once they get going, everything's good. The seagulls can be aggressive so be mindful if you're dining on the deck! Food, music and overall atmosphere is all excellent.

Just got married at Shephards on 5/16/26 and was treated with the most respect and kindness the entirety of our trip. We stayed 11 days and felt like royalty the entire time. The onsight amenities were great, close by and useful! The food was delicious at all of the bars and especially for our wedding reception. We had the sand dollar buffet package, the chimi churi steak was the talk of the night! A special and very important shoutout to Teah Steel, the banquet director and wedding coordinator who made sure we were perfectly accommodated for the entire trip with anything we could need or want! She was on top of all decorations, and especially security! I’d recommend her and her assistant Austin for anyone getting married! The rooms are beautiful, especially the suites. 600 has the most beautiful views of the ocean, bridge and especially sea life with manatees and dolphins all the time! The valet was very quick and efficient and held our luggage for us before and after we checked in and out. Shephards does have a nightclub so just be vigilant about where you choose your room and you’ll be happy Thank you Shephards for a wonderful wedding and honeymoon experience. We will absolutely be back for our anniversary!

We were very happy staying at Shephard’s. The entertainment is top notch… if you are a light sleeper then this may not be the place for you, but we did not mind. The views from our room were just amazing. Food by the beach and their other restaurant Cove were really good. Couple down sides.. 1) the gym needs to be updated 2) wish there was a discount to rent beach chairs for hotel guests. I get that it is a public beach, but wish they offered a discount. Overall, I would definitely come back again. I thought it was a fun place and the staff were very warm and inviting.
