About Noosa Conservation Park

Noosa National Park protects 3,000 hectares of diverse habitats—eucalypt forest, rainforest, wetlands and wallum heathland—making it a sanctuary for threatened species including glossy black-cockatoos, koalas and red goshawks. The signature walk is the 5.5km Coastal Track from Noosa Heads to Sunshine Beach, traversing windswept headlands with ocean views, though five walking tracks of varying length offer options across the park.

Lovely walking track following the coastline with great water views. Slopes though not a hard walk. There are other tracks that are longer and steeper as well. 3 stars for meeting expectations and 1 star for exceeding them. Truly nice scenario and surrounds.

It's a very nice national park. During our stay in Noosa, we only had the chance to walk the most popular trail from town to Hell’s Gates, which is very pleasant and definitely worth recommending, although I found it slightly less impressive compared to the Cape Byron Walking Track, which we visited two days earlier.

Noosa National Park is an absolutely beautiful place full of greenery, trees, and well-protected nature. The sea water was so fresh, clean, and crystal clear, making the whole experience very relaxing and enjoyable. I could see many people spending their holidays here, and it’s easy to understand why this place is so loved. I enjoyed walking here with my boyfriend in a lovely day.

Noosa National Park is one of those rare places where raw natural beauty and accessibility coexist effortlessly. Perched between the ocean and coastal bushland, the park delivers an experience that feels both wild and welcoming—ideal for seasoned hikers and casual explorers alike. What truly sets Noosa apart is the diversity packed into a compact footprint. In a single visit, you move from eucalyptus forests alive with bird calls to dramatic coastal cliffs overlooking turquoise waters. The coastal tracks, particularly the route toward Hell’s Gates, offer uninterrupted ocean views and frequent wildlife encounters—koalas resting in trees, dolphins cruising offshore, and, if you’re lucky, whales migrating in season. The walking trails are exceptionally well maintained, clearly marked, and designed to suit different fitness levels, making the park inclusive without compromising its natural character. The proximity to Noosa Heads is another major advantage—you can transition seamlessly from a beachside café to a rugged coastal hike within minutes. Beyond scenery, there’s a strong sense of preservation here. The park feels respected, not over-commercialized, allowing visitors to connect genuinely with the environment. Early mornings or late afternoons are particularly special, when the light softens, crowds thin, and the park reveals its calm, almost meditative side. In short, Noosa National Park is not just a walk—it’s a coastal immersion that leaves a lasting impression. Lovely morning walks, variety of picturesque spots and sandy beaches, highly recommend walking up to Alexandria bay beach

While we were in the Sunshine Coast, we were mainly looking for beautiful places and scenic views—and honestly, the Sunshine Coast itself is absolutely stunning. We visited Noosa for the first time, a place we had heard about so many times, and it truly lived up to every word. It was our first visit, and all I can say is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I honestly have no words to fully describe how amazing it felt to be there. If you love nature, scenic views, beaches, and calm surroundings, this is a must-visit place. You can swim in the beautiful waters, relax on the beach, or simply sit and watch people enjoying activities. Even just sitting there and soaking in the atmosphere is such a peaceful and refreshing experience. Noosa has a special charm that makes you slow down and truly enjoy the moment. We felt relaxed, happy, and completely in awe of the natural beauty around us. It’s one of those places that stays in your heart. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Sunshine Coast—you will fall in love with it instantly. 🌊🌴💙
