Covering 815 hectares on the northern edge of Toolangi State Forest about 90 minutes north east of Melbourne, Murrindindi features six riverside camping areas along the Murrindindi River suitable for small caravans and tents. The reserve showcases cascading waterfalls, tree fern gullies, and abundant bird and mammal populations, with flushing toilets at Ferns and Bull Creek camps. Camping fees apply at seven dollars per vehicle per night on a first-come first-served basis, ideal for bushwalking, fishing, and waterfall spotting.
