About Mungada Ridge National Park

Mungada Ridge National Park, declared in January 2022, protects some of the world's oldest rock formations on Yamatji traditional land. Located ninety kilometres north-east of Perenjori in Western Australia's Mid West region, the 1,031-hectare park contains banded iron formations and supports threatened flora and fauna including malleefowl. The park is jointly managed by the Bundi Yamatji Aboriginal Corporation and state conservation authorities to protect its ancient geology and unique biodiversity.
