Mount Brown Lookout in York, WA is one of those places that never loses its charm, no matter how many times you visitβand I say that as someone who keeps coming back. Every trip feels just as rewarding as the first. The real highlight here is the stunning 360-degree panoramic view. From the top, you get an uninterrupted sweep of the Avon Valley, the historic town of York, and the surrounding countryside. Whether you visit at sunrise, sunset, or in the middle of the day, the scenery has a way of stopping you in your tracks. The changing light and seasons make each visit feel unique. The drive up is quite accessible, and once you reach the lookout, itβs peaceful and refreshingly uncrowded compared to more commercial spots. Itβs the perfect place to unwind, take photos, or simply sit and appreciate the natural beauty. You can visit anytime, but it can get quite crowded during long weekends. Otherwise, itβs peaceful and perfect for relaxing and soaking in the scenery. If youβre anywhere near York, Mount Brown Lookout is absolutely worth the visit. And if youβre like me, it wonβt be a one-time stopβitβs the kind of place that keeps calling you back. Definitely a must-visit spot in the area.

Had a great walk up to the lookout. Track was a kangaroo track straight up from the cemetery (I took the easier 4x4 loop on the way back. View from top was good. Adjacent modern picnic area and toilets. Lookout can be accessed easily by car if you don't want to walk. Carport adjacent to lookout.

Itβs a peaceful spot that really shows the beauty of the Avon Valley, especially around sunrise or sunset. The drive up is straightforward, and thereβs plenty of space at the top to stop, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. Itβs a great place to appreciate how historic York sits within the landscape. Well worth the visit if youβre in the area.

Such a serene spot to sit down, breathe, and reflect. From the top you get a beautiful panoramic view of the entire York township β peaceful, quiet, and perfect if youβre looking for a moment of calm. The drive up is easy, and the lookout area has plenty of space to just sit and take it all in. A simple place, but it feels special. Highly recommend stopping by if youβre in York.
