The unsealed 14km road to the site can be periodically closed in winter due to snow, and high-clearance or 4WD vehicles are recommended. The stone hut structure remains open to visitors, and the short walk to the true summit offers views across the plateau. The reserve is used for bushwalking, rock climbing and hang gliding.
