About Mount Cordeaux Lookout

Mount Cordeaux rises 1,135 metres within Main Range National Park, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours southwest of Brisbane. The 7-kilometre return walking track (Grade 4, moderately challenging, approximately 3 hours 44 minutes) traverses subtropical rainforest and montane heath to a rocky slab lookout with sweeping views. From the summit, visitors can see across the Fassifern Valley to Mount Mitchell, Spicers Peak, Lizard Point and Mount Roberts. The trail passes remnants of an abandoned goldmine shaft and begins at Crest Carpark at Cunningham's Gap, where parking, toilets and water are available.
