π Culcairn, NSW
Morgan's Lookout is a striking white granite outcrop located 18 km from Culcairn, towering above otherwise flat country. Historically significant as the hiding spot used by notorious 1860s bushranger Mad Dan Morgan to evade capture, it's also linked to the 1890s shearers' strike that led to the founding of the Australian Workers Union. Today, climbing the steps to the summit rewards visitors with spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside, making it a popular picnic destination.
