Moonbi Park Lookout was built in 1938 by Cockburn Shire Council on a huge granite outcrop at 754 metres elevation on the Moonbi Range in northern New England. The access road off the New England Highway is 27 kilometres north of Tamworth or 14 kilometres south of Bendemeer, with large parking, tables, toilets, and non-drinkable water. Overnight stays are permitted, and views showcase beautiful vistas of Moonbi, Cockburn Valley, and even distant New England Range peaks on clear days.
