Started at SkyHigh and took the trail to Burkes Lookout, took between 25-30 minutes to get there (about an hour in total for the trip up and back) Getting to the lookout is definitely easier than the trip back to SkyHigh but so so worth it ! The day we went, it was super cloudy as you can see, and all our photos looked like we were on the clouds 😍 Most definitely will be back.

Burkes Lookout has one of the best easy views in the Dandenong Ranges, especially around sunset. It’s a quick stop with beautiful views across Melbourne and a really peaceful atmosphere. If you like this, you'll LOVE Burke's Lookout Reserve. A short walk to an even better view. :)

Had an amazing time hiking up to the viewpoint. The downhill was a bit challenging, but honestly that just made it more fun. One tip though: try not to plan your hike around sunset. Going back down in the dark can get pretty scary (in a fun way tho), so bring a flashlight if you do plan to hike and watch the sunset, because visibility drops fast when you go down (we learned that the hard way). Other than that, it’s an awesome spot and totally worth the hike. Also those photos are taken by phone and has done zero edit. It is just that the view was amazing. Definitely recommend.

After finding a parking spot, walk down for about 1–2 minutes along a slightly rugged path, and you’ll reach a long, flat trail right on the cliff’s edge — a perfect viewpoint. Some people set up cameras to capture time-lapse videos, while others come to sit quietly, enjoy the view, or even meditate by the cliff. The weather is quite cool with a breeze, so it’s best to bring a shawl or wear a jacket, gloves, and socks to keep warm.
