Mauritius Beach within Cape Range National Park in Western Australia sits approximately 400 metres long by 50 metres wide, located 21 kilometres from Exmouth past the Vlamingh Head lighthouse. The beach, declared clothing optional in 1999, slopes relatively gently to warm turquoise waters generally safe for swimmers, though underwater rocks exist in shallows at low tide and at each end. Turtles nest October to April with hatchings two months later, and offshore reefs protected by marine park are popular for hobby snorkelers.
