We stayed at the Top Bank caravan site and were highly disappointed. The site was incredibly crampedβit was a struggle just to get the caravan in, and there was zero room left to park our vehicle. To make matters worse, the grounds were muddy and completely unmaintained.

My husband and I had a lovely 2 night, one full day stay in Riverside Family Cabin 5 recently in Lorne. Lorne itself is still in recovery mode since the major flooding in January 2026, and access to several waterfalls was limited. The local pier, another local attraction was closing on the afternoon we arrived for major repairs. That said we still loved what we saw and did and our cabin had all we needed and was in a nice and quiet spot of the park. I would have given it 5/5 for room if the positioning of the cabin hadnβt meant that one end of our deck looked directly into the living area of Cabin 4 beside us. All it needs is a privacy screen erected at the end of this part of the deck to create a better sense of privacy. Fortunately no one was using it until our last night but even that was a touch un-nerving. The cabins are very close! Other than that we appreciated the closeness to a coffee shop, pizza place, both small and artisanal, nestled next a gorgeous gift and womenβs wear store. This little nest of shops was about 300m away. The Riverside site is also just across the road from the Information Centre and a Foodworks. Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park was a great choice for us.

Expensive for what you get. Was raining when we stayed so very sloppy mud and bark canβt really handle weight of the car & caravan. No pets aloud over Easter. Small playground for the kids but not much else. Amenities are basic, could use a clean though. Stopped for 1 night to see lorne

The facility was better than expected and exceptionally clean. I really liked that access to the facilities is controlled by a code, which makes you feel safe and secure. The entire site is very clean and tidy, with a cleaner coming in each morning. Washing up Liquid, cleaning sponges, cloths, and towels are provided, which is a thoughtful touch. The shower room is well equipped with hooks for towels, and the shower itself is powerful. The kitchen facilities are excellent, with a kettle, toaster, air fryer, microwave, and BBQ available. My only complaint is that the site is not clearly signposted where the pitches are located. I ended up driving around narrow lanes trying to find my pitch and had to leave the site to turn around before attempting again. The site itself is a dirt track with grass pitches. I had booked a powered pitch, but it wasnβt clear how to access the electricity, as I couldnβt find instructions on how and where to connect to the power supply.

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Riverview Family Cabin for just 1 night- Clean, Compact, Comfortable, Quiet, Cozy stay in the woods with ensuite bathroom, and car parking just by d cabin, with basic cutleries, pots & pans, chopping board, electric stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, hot & cold water shower with shower gel, towels, 2 bunk beds & a double bed, dining table with chairs, perfect for a family of 4. The only thing Not available is the dishwashing liquid.but thats ok, we can get it frm the supermarket nearby. Perfect for living with Nature, late checkin via sms for pincode to unlock the safe outside the office, to collect your keys inside. Our cabin located just by d river bank is d best way to feel aligned with nature. We saw a mother Duck and her ducklings strolling together in a pack and were even greeted in the morning, perched on our Balcony a beautiful Bird not sure wat it is tho.... Theres even a bbq pit just outside our cabin! And most important theres Foodworth Supermarket to get basic food essentials which we could cook with in our cabin. Compact apartment, but cozy and we got all d essentials we needed. Hopefully next time we could stay longer to experience living in the outback. Beisdes the supermarket, theres even a Halal Lorne Fish & Chips is just a 2 mins drive away ...and their menu is extensive!
