Excellent experience at Lillydale Lake Park. Wonderful space for dog walks and kids to spend energy on the trails. Fishing on the lake is relaxing too. Playground and water play suits children. Highly recommend!

Talk about a great place! Lilydale Lake is perfect for families, with a large, well-maintained playground and a fantastic water play area that’s a hit during the warmer months. The lake itself is beautiful and surprisingly kid-friendly, with a sandy area where little ones can dig, splash and play as if they’re at the beach. There are also plenty of walking paths, picnic spots, and open spaces to run around, making it an easy spot to spend a whole morning or afternoon. A great mix of nature, play and space for kids to burn off energy.

Lilydale Lake is a beautiful Lake and Park, with plenty of walking trails and Gazebos to stop and have a rest, with your BYO picnic lunch. The Lake is cleaner now, with less algae, but swimming is not recommended. There is a Nice little sandy beach and childrens playground. Kayaking and Yachting with the Lilydale Sailing Club are popular here. Also great for walking, about one hour to walk around the Lake. Well maintained by the Yarra Ranges Council. Lots of large trees, grass and reeds around the Lake. Fresh air, and peaceful. There are Boardwalk viewing platforms, a large jetty and a small boat ramp. Also, there is the Lakeside, Library Cafe about half way around, with beautiful views, run by the Box Hill Institute.

The walking tracks are well-maintained, the lake views are stunning, and there’s plenty of open space for picnics and outdoor activities. The playground and BBQ areas make it ideal for kids and gatherings. Ample parking and clean facilities add to the convenience. A fantastic place to spend a peaceful day — highly recommended!
