The Silo Art Trail of North West Victoria is a fantastic way to spend a long weekend or take your time and spend a week. The artwork in a lot of the country towns is also spectacular, and you won't find friendlier people than in the country.

Local couple Geoff and Merrilyn Horman are depicted in this work by Melbourne artist Rone. Unfortunately the work is faded and poor Merrilyn isn't at all visible. Meals and accommodation available at the Minapre Hotel which also boasts a milk bar and coffee shop. Nearby is the Stockman's Hut Gallery which charges $5 admission and this includes complimentary tea or coffee. The gallery and grounds make up for the disappointment of the silo art.

So there's two, and the entrance is a tad confusing. Don't take the one right next to the train track, or the one next to the house next to the tracks. Take the one after opposite the park. I had a good sit and enjoyed my pie from the pub.
