My cabin was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. Mould everywhere β€” in the bathroom, in the air‑cons, and all through the cabin seals. The whole place felt dirty, outdated, and completely neglected. The couch was falling apart, uncomfortable, and honestly embarrassing to look at. The paint job was so patchy and sloppy it gave my OCD a full workout. The food and coffee were terrible β€” genuinely the kind you try once and never again. A couple of items on the menu until 3pm. Nothing fresh, nothing enjoyable, and definitely not worth the price they charge. We were given three towels and a tiny bath mat for a three‑night stay β€” with two kids constantly in and out of the pool β€” and told extra towels were $5 each. The cabin was a damp mess the whole time. No turnover service. No basic supplies. I even had to practically beg for a bandaid when my little one scraped her knee. Laundry was $18 for ONE load, and I had to walk back and forth for hours just to get it done. The basketball court was useless with a damaged ring, and being 20 minutes from any shop made every bit of bad service feel ten times worse. Pools were great. Lake is beautiful. won’t be back though. $800 wasted on a cabin for three nights that shouldn’t even be advertised in its current condition. I’m sure the camping is great because you would bring all your own gear. Also the new cabins looked much nicer. But my experience my poor for the money.

Practical tip #1: If you're travelling in a campervan or motorhome, ask for a level site when booking if possible. Some sites are uneven, and after rain a few can become soft, making it difficult to level your vehicle. Practical tip #2: Bring your swimmers. The water park and swimming pool are excellent and are a real highlight of the park. Practical tip #3: Bring your walking shoes. One of the biggest advantages of this park is its beautiful location beside Lake Tinaroo, where you can enjoy peaceful walks directly from your campsite. We stayed here for several nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The park has a relaxed atmosphere and is beautifully located beside Lake Tinaroo, making it an excellent place to unwind while exploring the Atherton Tablelands. The park is spacious, well maintained and surrounded by nature. We particularly appreciated being able to walk along the lakeshore, something that isn't possible at many caravan parks. The birdlife and peaceful surroundings add to the experience. The amenities are clean and well maintained. The camp kitchen is spacious and well equipped with barbecues, kettles and toasters. The only thing we missed was a couple of cooktops or gas burners for boiling pasta, rice or potatoes in a saucepan. The splash park is fantastic and clearly a favourite with families, while the swimming pool provides another great place to cool off. It is easy to understand why so many families choose to stay here. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the entire park is well organised and pleasant to spend time in. Overall, Discovery Parks – Lake Tinaroo is a wonderful place to stay. The beautiful lakeside setting, excellent recreational facilities and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to recommend. We would happily stay here again.

2bdrm cabin was new and fresh feeling, very clean, great bathroom and kitchen. Beds were very soft (too soft for some but I liked it). Park has immaculate grounds, lovely to wake-up among the gumtrees to birdsong. Fantastic facilities especially with kids. Great location directly across from the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful. Add the live music night and pancake breakfast, it was 100% worth the money. We will return.

If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. Its spotless clran. The parks very well maintained. Plenty of bbq/kitchen/toilet facilities. The units are bright, clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a home from home stay. This place seriously caters for kids. Ours had an absolute ball. With so much to do, we didn't see them much. Water play, swimming, mini golf, free game activities that the park hosts put on, feeding birds, bouncy pillow - not to mention the free band, pancakes, coloiring activities, treasure hunt and ice lollies that are all included in your stay. You get fantastic bang for your buck, and is a very enjoyable inexpensive family holiday. I πŸ’― reccommend staying here. We will be back. Also, the park shop has plenty of yummy food, drinks, lollies, ice etc and very reasonably priced. If you haven't experienced this hidden gem yet, give it a go. You wont regret it πŸ˜ƒ

Beautiful park with so much to offer. The location is superb, directly across the road from the lake, multiple playgrounds at your doorstep including a playground waterpark for kids, swimming pool and a heated magnesium pool. During the holidays they offer so many free activities like firetruck rides, face painting, free pancake breakfast, live music, yard games bon fires and so much more!! Truly exceptional location offering campsites with or without power to cabins with everything you need for your stay.
