We enjoy our stay, there were a few problems, when watching some TV channels weren't available or had no signal and a few applications not working. They also have internet, but it's very weak or bearly work at all, other than those things everything was still good and amazing.

Perfect place for our stay on our way from Sydney to Victoria. We arrived late evening and reception has organised a welcome pack for us with all information. Easy to find our place and get settled. We were lucky to enjoy a movie night organised for the Easter Weekend. Kids couldn’t be happier. All clean and enjoyable. Will stop by next time!

Average. More cabins nearer to amenities than those who really need them. Be aware lake view powered sites are a long way from toilets and showers, a long way. But views are stunning

It had been two years since our last stay at Discovery Parks NSW, and while there are some positives, there are also several ongoing issues that remain unaddressed. Positives: The location is excellent, offering easy access to the lake. The boat ramp is only a five-minute drive away, which is very convenient. At the time of our stay the lake was around 70% full, meaning it was only a 20–30 metre walk to the water’s edge—still plenty of water to enjoy. One tip: if the wind picks up overnight, make sure all loose items are secured (we learned this the hard way!). The café near the reception is fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they make a great coffee. Negatives: The main amenities block is in urgent need of renovation. We were genuinely surprised that no improvements had been made in the two years since our last visit. The male and female shower and toilet areas require the tiled floors to be removed and replaced with vinyl. The grout is heavily stained and unhygienic, which significantly detracts from the overall presentation of the park. The men’s toilets also have a persistent and unpleasant odour. There are several neglected permanent caravans on site that appear abandoned and should either be demolished or addressed with the owners. One site near the water’s edge, in particular, is in very poor condition. From memory, the owner passed away over two years ago, yet the structure remains. The high number of rabbits in this area is concerning, as it may attract snakes. Given that pets are permitted in the park, this issue should have been addressed by now. The hut near the water’s edge is also unsafe and should be demolished. As it appears to sit outside the main park area, management should engage the local council immediately, as this is a serious OH&S concern. Electric scooters are another major safety issue. We witnessed children travelling at speeds exceeding 20 km/h, wearing only swimwear and no helmets. Without proper restrictions or an outright ban, it feels like an accident is inevitable. Overall: The park has an excellent location but is let down by cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns. Based on our experience, I would rate this park 5/10.

We had a fantastic stay at Discovery Parks – Lake Hume. The cabins were spotless, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable — especially the bed! The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us cool and relaxed throughout. The park is clean, safe, and family-friendly, with beautiful surroundings and amazing views of the lake. It was also a real treat to see local wildlife — birds and animals roaming freely added to the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tidy, well-maintained, and relaxing getaway spot. Would definitely return!
