Lake Broadwater is the only large naturally-occurring freshwater lake on the Darling Downs, 30km southwest of Dalby in the Western Downs Region. The 1,212-hectare conservation park harbours over 230 bird species, 450 plant species, and at least 30 mammals and 55 reptiles. Two camping areas offer facilities: Lake Broadwater near the boat ramp with hot showers and BBQs, and Wilga Bush set among forest with open fires.
