We had the pleasure of spending a few weeks at Blue Lagoon, and it was absolutely stunning. The park is exceptionally well maintained, clean, and tidy compared to many others we've visited. The staff are friendly, patient, and understanding, and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble. Their customer service really made our stay enjoyable. As a family, we felt very safe, and there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained throughout our stay. Having travelled extensively around Australia, we can confidently say that Blue Lagoon is right up there among the best parks we've stayed at. The location is fantastic, and we would highly recommend it to families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my second time staying in a three-bedroom cabin with friends, and everyone was very satisfied, especially with the facilities in the bathroom, kitchen, etc., which seemed to have been recently renovated. The only minor issue was that the living room lighting could be brighter, making it even more comfortable. However, I would definitely come back here with friends for another vacation if I have the chance. The staff at the reception were very friendly; thank you!

Large caravan park, with plenty of sites and cabins directly on the beach. Large sites, great pool and wide streets. Lots of amenities, though the bistro only opened in busy periods. Nice to see a few bunnies hopping around. Cute. 2nd visit here and would definitely recommend.

First things first — the room was filthy. Sand all over the floors, hair on the floors, and the bedsheets had clearly not been changed. Pillowcases were stained and dirty (photos attached). The kitchen supplies were also unclean. This is completely unacceptable and honestly disgusting for a place charging holiday rates. The issues didn’t stop there. The night security staff were extremely rude and selective in who they chose to approach. There were groups drinking, partying and playing loud music with speakers until 3am with no action taken, yet our group was repeatedly approached for simply talking quietly on our balconies. We were even told to turn off our TV inside our own cabin. The way the security staff spoke to children was completely inappropriate. Our kids were told to leave the pool before closing time (even though they just wanted to stay until the last minute, which is completely normal), and were then told, “that’s okay, you can all just die in there when the chlorine starts pumping.” As a result, the children were scared to go back into the pool the following day, genuinely believing they could get hurt or die. Speaking to children in this manner is unacceptable and disturbing. We were constantly reminded about a “contract” regarding noise after 11pm. Noise, to us, means parties, loud music, shouting and disruption — not families quietly talking on balconies. If contracts matter so much, then one would expect the rooms to at least meet basic cleanliness standards. It became very clear that our group — and another family simply playing cards on their balcony — were being singled out. We do not drink, we do not party, and we were never disrespectful. Meanwhile, there were other children screaming swear words in shared amenities, banging on walls late at night, and causing genuine disturbance — which staff completely ignored. After coming to this park for over 15 years, we know the difference in standards — and the decline is obvious. To then see management publicly respond to reviews by blaming guests and making false claims about disrespectful behaviour instead of addressing genuine concerns is beyond rude and deeply unprofessional. I would not spend another dollar at this place. When families save and work hard to go away at the end of the year, they should not arrive to filthy rooms, feel targeted, or be intimidated for simply spending quality time together. Do not waste your money here. Until cleanliness, management attitude, and staff conduct are addressed, this place does not deserve its reputation on these reviews. The attached photos show the condition of just one of the rooms upon arrival and are not representative of all rooms in the property. The floors were visibly filthy, with dirt and debris throughout, including a cut piece of someone’s hair left on the floor. The mop bucket contained dirty brown water when we arrived, clearly indicating the floors had not been cleaned prior to check-in. There was heavy dust accumulation on the staircase and surfaces, and the bedding was stained and unclean. This level of hygiene is completely unacceptable and falls well below basic accommodation and cleaning standards.
