About Joy Falls

Joy Falls sits on Joy Creek east of Ben Lomond National Park's northern end, dropping over dolerite peaks into a canyon. The falls are difficult to view due to the steep canyon and lack of hiking tracks, requiring experienced hikers to navigate very loose scree, thick scrub, and slippery logs and rocks. From nearby cliffs, you can glimpse an excellent view of the falls a short distance up the valley.
