We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was, unfortunately, our least satisfactory stay in Australia. This campground is not suited for a quiet or restful stay. Noise levels are consistently high, from early morning to late at night: loud bird activity at sunrise and sunset, vehicle noise from the adjacent parking area, early departures (from around 4:30am), a water truck operating for extended periods every day, music from the amenities 24/7, and live music from the nearby pub on weekends. There is little to no quiet time. The environment also did not feel particularly safe or comfortable at times. We experienced multiple night disturbances involving intoxicated individuals (including shouting, vomiting, and general disruption), on more than one occasion during our stay. Police presence was frequent, including daytime patrols, and the adjacent parking area regularly saw cars revving engines, doing laps, and driving erratically at night. Facilities are limited. There is no proper kitchen (only one BBQ plate and a single sink), and the laundry consists of two coin-operated machines, one of which was out of order during our stay. The cooking area was also affected by insect infestations on multiple occasions since it's outside. We were advised there are only four designated tent sites, all located in high-traffic or noisy areas. During our stay, we were relocated to a site with significant tree roots, positioned between the entrance gate and the exit gate. The location by the river also results in a high presence of mosquitoes and sandflies, which significantly impacts comfort. Positive points are limited to clean amenities and the coffee van (βThe Little Brew Busβ) at the entrance, which offers good coffee and friendly service. Overall, this campground may suit very short stays, but is not appropriate for those seeking a quiet, comfortable, or relaxed environment.

We were put on a site that we didnβt book for some reason. We were placed along the fence adjacent to the road behind us between huge ghost gums which dropped a few branches. Very tight to reverse the van in. The park itself is next to the boat ramp, swimming enclosure and tavern. This is midgee heaven and I suggest you have a portable fire pit and heaps of RID with you.

Great place to stay and relax. Very clean . The staff are friendly and welcoming .Has a beautiful little van parked at the front where you can get your morning coffee and a few snacks. Close to the water for boating and fishing. Will definitely be going to stay again. Had a great time.

Just returned from spending 3 days at the tourIst park. The park is in great condition and is cared for exceedingly well. Excellent amenities, shady sites and well equipped, delightful cabins There were 5 of us, all 70+, and we utilised a cabin and both powered and unpowered sites. All agreed that this was an excellent park which greatly contributed to a most memorable and enjoyable experience.

We stayed here over the weekend before Christmas, having never been to Jacobs Well before. It was just an awesome place to stay. Our site for the caravan was huge, one of the biggest site caravan parks we have stayed. The owners were lovely, providing us with wood for our fire pit. We also were able to bring our dog without any hassle. There are some lovely small touches around the place: herb garden, coffee caravan at the front. We also ate at the Tavern across the road from the park, which we totally recommend. We will definitely be back. Despite being only 45 mins from Brisbane and less to the Gold Coast, driving through sugar cane country made it felt like we were out in the countryside. Super close to the netted beach, and the perfect place to take your boat. A relaxing weekend of swimming and toasting marshmallows.
