We did the slaughter falls and hidden car trail loop about 4kms round trip. Was very narrow, lots hills and valleys with a bunch of fallen trees. Bit of a tough trail for myself as a beginner, but some really beautiful views, with great rocks for climbing, and a nice spot for a picnic.

Absolutely stunning scenery with plenty of parking. Has public use barbecues, fountains and toilets. It wasn't too busy even on a weekend. The falls are beautiful to see even when there's not much water flowing. Very peaceful place to sit and relax at the falls or in the bush. The hike uphill after the falls is quite steep but well worth it!

There are lots of nive picnic areas. If going to the waterfall (from a creek so only flowing in the wet months and or after heavy rain) drive to the furthest end as walk signage is confusing.

Best visiting after rainfall, didn't see much water falling on my visit, still a good quick and simple hike up a concreted path. Probably perfect for anyone who wants to go for a little forest run with good scenery. Has a viewing platform that would come in handy when the water comes though and also has some artwork under the rocks. The walking trail from the first car park is 1.2km, the car park furthest along is a shorter ~500m walk.

It's a fantastic spot for a picnic. Well maintained, nice, quiet, cool place with lots of birds. It's also really good for walks and has a couple of hiking tracks. Plenty of people walking the track with their furry friends too so you don't have to worry about walking the tracks alone and bonus puppy pats!
