About Ingalalla Falls

Ingalalla Falls in Yankalilla plunges 81-92 metres (266-302 feet) from an unnamed creek on the Fleurieu Peninsula, 70km southwest of Adelaide. The 250m walk from the car park leads to lower falls with picnic tables and rockpools attracting diverse birdlife, while a steep stairway ascends to the upper falls with bird's-eye views. Extended forest walks offer fitness challenges with shaded areas and colourful deciduous trees in autumn.

Close to the car park, but you need to cross a stream to get to the Falls. On the day we arrived, tge crossing was underwater. I took my shoes off to cross. This seemed an easier option than walking across stones further down, as we had seen others do.

Beautiful place, fun for the kids with safe shallow clean creeks to play in and explore. Very short walk, I don't recommend taking a pram, I baby wore my newborn. Be careful crossing the rocks as they can be slippery. We then walked up along the forest part and turned over small branches and found frogs! Good toilets, just not much seating or protection from the weather.

Took a short walk out to Ingallala Falls near Normanville, easy stroll through nice forest. The setting is quiet and scenic. The falls themselves are small and understated rather than dramatic, but they have their own charm. Peaceful place to spend a bit of time if you're in the area. Worth a visit if you're exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula, though it's more of a gentle detour than a must-see.

Overall a very pleasant walk, however the waterfall it self was very dirty. I do not know the reason behind the foams, but it certainly looks like pollution. The walk its about 10 minutes from the car park, and it looks like you can walk further up stream beyond the fall. The picnic area is beautiful, especially at sunset.

Ingalalla Falls is a really pleasant place for a short walk and a quiet break in nature. The trail to the falls is fairly easy and suitable for most people, and the scenery along the way is quite peaceful. The waterfall itself isn’t huge, but it’s nice to see and the area is well-kept. A good spot for a simple outing, especially if you’re already in the area.
