Enjoy panoramic views of Townsville city, with many pedestrians on the roadside. Drive carefully.

Castle Hill is a natural and majestic tourist attraction that stands out in the middle of Townsville. If you're of able body, reasonable healthy or up for a challenge, climbing up the various walking tracks to the top of Castle Hill is a must. No admission fee so feel free to climb up at any time. Depending on how you go, it could take about 30 - 60 minutes to climb up, however once you're up on top, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of Townsville.

Great little climb ,we walked up the goat track ,its not very long but in the heat it feels like it takes forever to reach the top. The path was mostly shaded. Drinks, ice-creams and tolites at the top.

Stunning lookout! I visited this lookout and really enjoyed it. The view is wide and open, with beautiful scenery all around. Itβs an easy stop with simple access, so you donβt need much time or effort to get there. Itβs a great place to take a few photos, and just take in the surroundings. The area felt clean and well maintained, and it wasnβt too crowded when we visited. Overall, a lovely spot to stop by if youβre in the area. Definitely worth a quick visit for the views.

What a wonderful experience, there are a few different ways to reach the top of Castle Hill whether it be walking up the road, hiking on a goat paths or driving. If you hike along a path itβs heaps of work sometimes traversing uneven step climbing, one stint is over 450+ steps. Fresh water at the top. Really enjoyable but give yourself at least an hour up and back.
