This is a must visit place if you’re visiting Mount Temborine! A grassy cliff edge where the Gold Coast opens up beneath you in layers of green valleys, distant ocean haze, and the kind of open sky we never get back in Sydney. It is one of those spots that makes you pause longer than you planned. It’s an easy detour from the usual tourist circuit, and for anyone visiting the Gold Coast, it offers a refreshing contrast to the beaches — a quiet, panoramic vantage point that reminds you how dramatic Queensland’s landscape can be. A fantastic spot to bring a picnic for a sunset date! Beware the parking is limited and it can get very busy!

During our scenic drive through the hinterland, we made a quick stop at the Hang Glider Launch and Lookout. This is truly a breathtaking spot that will make you gasp in awe! Endless Panoramic Views: Standing on this expansive grassy slope, the view is completely unobstructed. Looking out from this high vantage point, you get a sweeping, magnificent panorama of the Scenic Rim valleys stretching all the way to the horizon. Framed by today's brilliant blue sky and fluffy white clouds, the scenery is simply mesmerizing and incredibly therapeutic. The Perfect Road Trip Pitstop: Located right off the main road, it’s an ideal place to pull over, catch the mountain breeze, and stretch your legs. As you can see, it's a popular rest stop for motorbike riders as well. People just casually stand on the grass, soaking in the peaceful vastness. A Distinctive Artistic Landmark: There is also a very unique carved sculpture resting on the hill, featuring the beautiful imagery of a face intertwined with a tree. Standing quietly at the edge overlooking the valley, it adds a touch of mystical, artistic charm to this magnificent natural viewpoint. If you are driving through the mountain roads, I highly recommend pulling over for ten minutes just to experience this breathtaking, soul-refreshing view!

Visited the Hang Glider Launch and Lookout on the way to skywalk, and it’s easily one of the most impressive viewpoints around. The panoramic views across the landscape are stunning and well worth the visit, whether you’re there to watch hang gliders take off or simply to enjoy the scenery. The lookout offers a peaceful, open setting with plenty of space to take in the views, snap photos, and relax. Watching the hang gliders launch adds an extra sense of excitement and makes the experience unique. Very busy place on weekends or public holidays and if there's a good wind, be careful when it's raining or blowing a go. Be careful of children crossing the road or getting out Of reach of sight magnificent place to see the gliders take off and be in thermals but not as per the photos attached
