Never stayed at the cabin so we cannot make any comment about the cabin however it is a nice drive from Cairns for a day trip with family. We had combo of 5,6,8 and 10 years old with huge interest in wild life. We enjoyed our visit. Staff were very informative and very accomodating with all of kids. Great experience over all.

10 Year reunion! This time with 2 kids. Same incredible service! We all got to hold a snake as soon as we walked in! Kids loved every second of it! Thank you for keeping the great vibes and not changing your style of service. It the best experience for anyone who visits! Must do visit in North Queensland!

Really nice spot to spend a few hours. The granite boulders and creek make it feel very peaceful, and seeing the rock wallabies up close was definitely the highlight. The area was well looked after and easy to explore at your own pace. Worth the visit if you’re around Mareeba. You can also pay to feed the wallabies.

We have been visiting Granite Gorge Nature Park for nearly 10 years now, and it has become a special tradition for our family every school holidays and long weekends. It is hands down our daughter’s favourite place to be — especially because of her love of snakes and the amazing experience she gets at reception being able to hold them and learn about the animals. Over the years we have experienced every part of the park — the cabins, camping areas, swimming spots, hiking trails and all the beautiful animals at reception — and every visit has been fantastic. No matter how busy the park is, the facilities are always exceptionally clean and well maintained. The BBQ areas, kitchenette, washing machine, toilets and hot showers make staying here comfortable and stress free while still feeling immersed in nature. What makes this place so special is the variety it offers. Whether you enjoy relaxing in a cabin, camping under the stars, swimming, hiking, wildlife encounters or simply escaping into nature, Granite Gorge truly has something to suit everyone. A beautiful family-friendly nature park that keeps us coming back year after year. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway with amazing wildlife experiences and stunning scenery.

Granite Gorge Nature Park and the campsite are a great spot to stay overnight and slow down. We camped two nights here and we loved it. There are safe swimming spots and two walks. I recommend the long walk only for the most fit & adventurous ones. It was beautiful but challenging. We also had a campfire, which was great under the stars! 🌌🔥 The girl at the reception was great, really positive and helpful. We loved the sweet rock wallabies that are certainly not shy to come over to you.
