Glacier Rock Lookout is a challenging 4.4-mile hike in Barron Gorge National Park near Cairns, taking approximately 2 hours 47 minutes with 1,437 feet of elevation gain. The final destination—Glacier Rock itself—is a massive granite outcrop offering 360-degree views sweeping across the Coral Sea, Northern Beaches, and the emerald depths of the gorge, with fantastic views of Cairns and the surrounding coast. The best times to visit are April through November. Dogs are not allowed on this trail.
